Privacy Policy
Easy Accurate operates a business network, websites, subdomains, domain-mapped member sites, directories, community features, estimating and booking tools, mobile services, artificial-intelligence features, advertising programs, and related products. This Policy explains what information we handle, why we handle it, when it is shared, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope and responsibility
This Policy applies to Easy Accurate and the Easy Accurate platform, including easyaccurate.com, Easy Accurate-owned subdomains, network services, mobile applications, plugins, themes, APIs, communications, and pages that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”). It does not automatically govern a third-party website merely because that website links to or integrates with the Services.
Easy Accurate controls information used to operate the central platform, accounts, network security, subscriptions, platform communications, central directories, and shared tools. A contractor, service professional, or other member business may separately control information it collects on its own site or receives when you contact, hire, or request a quote from it. That business may have its own privacy notice and legal obligations. Where Easy Accurate processes information only on a member business’s documented instructions, that business is responsible for its instructions and customer relationship.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Identity and contact information: name, username, email, telephone number, mailing or service address, and communication preferences.
- Account and business information: credentials, membership type, company name, trade, licenses, service areas, business description, website, social links, profile data, and verification information.
- Project and transaction information: estimate inputs, dimensions, budget, ZIP code, job descriptions, quote requests, appointments, proposals, invoices, deposits, orders, transaction status, and support history.
- Content and communications: posts, messages, group activity, reviews, comments, invitations, support requests, chat content, AI prompts, photos, videos, documents, and other files.
- Marketing preferences: email subscriptions, referral attribution, advertising preferences, cookie choices, and opt-out records.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, device identifiers, browser and operating-system details, language, approximate location inferred from IP, timestamps, referring pages, pages and features used, clicks, error records, and security events.
- Cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies used for login, fraud prevention, preferences, analytics, attribution, advertising, and performance.
- Mobile-app information such as app version, device type, push-notification token, crash diagnostics, and permissions you choose to grant. Precise device location is collected only if a feature requests it and you grant permission.
Sensitive information
Account credentials and certain payment, location, or identity data can be treated as sensitive under some laws. Passwords should be stored in hashed form by the authentication system. Payment processors generally handle complete card numbers; Easy Accurate may receive billing details, transaction identifiers, status, and limited payment-method information. Do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification, bank credentials, medical records, biometric data, or other highly sensitive information through general forms, chats, AI prompts, estimate tools, or community features.
3. Sources of information
We receive information directly from you; from other members or people who invite, refer, message, review, or transact with you; from the device and browser you use; from Easy Accurate member sites; and from providers supporting payments, hosting, authentication, email, analytics, advertising, maps, social sign-in, mobile notifications, fraud prevention, customer support, AI, and integrations. We may also receive publicly available business information and information from directories or data partners where permitted by law.
4. How and why we use information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, administer, and secure accounts and network sites;
- provide estimates, websites, directories, profiles, bookings, proposals, subscriptions, payments, customer support, mobile features, and community functions;
- route project requests and connect customers with professionals;
- personalize content, recommend services, measure performance, troubleshoot errors, and improve the Services;
- send transactional notices and, where permitted, marketing communications;
- detect spam, abuse, fraud, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
- maintain records, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, protect rights and safety, and comply with law;
- perform analytics, attribution, and advertising, subject to available choices.
Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely as appropriate on performance of a contract, steps requested before entering a contract, legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, compliance with legal obligations, protection of vital interests, and consent. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Public profiles, listings, and community content
Business profiles, directory listings, service areas, posts, public groups, comments, reviews, portfolio images, and similar content are intended to be public when the interface identifies them as public. Public material may be indexed by search engines, copied by others, or remain in cached or archived copies after removal. Private messages and restricted groups are not intended for public display, but authorized recipients can still copy or disclose them. Review the audience setting before posting and never publish information you do not want others to retain.
6. Quotes, estimates, bookings, and professional referrals
When you request a quote, estimate, inspection, booking, or professional contact, we use the information you submit to provide the requested feature and may share it with one or more professionals that match the trade, location, availability, or other routing criteria. Shared information may include your name, contact details, service address or general location, project description, budget, schedule, measurements, photos, documents, and estimate results.
Matched professionals are independent businesses unless expressly identified otherwise. After receiving a lead or beginning a direct customer relationship, a professional may use and retain the information under its own legal responsibilities and privacy notice. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a professional will respond, accept a job, hold a license, or provide a particular price. Avoid uploading images or documents containing unrelated people, private paperwork, access codes, or sensitive information.
7. Artificial intelligence and automated tools
Some Services use AI to answer questions, analyze photos or project details, suggest content, estimate possible measurements or costs, detect conditions, recommend providers, or assist support. Prompts, uploaded material, outputs, and relevant account or project context may be sent to the AI provider selected for that feature and may be logged for security, quality, billing, and troubleshooting. Different providers have different terms and retention practices.
AI output can be incomplete or wrong and must not be treated as a guaranteed measurement, final quote, legal advice, safety instruction, engineering conclusion, diagnosis, or licensed professional judgment. We do not intend to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about consumers solely through AI without appropriate review. Do not enter secrets, passwords, complete payment-card information, government identifiers, or highly sensitive personal data into AI features.
9. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
Easy Accurate does not sell personal information in exchange for money. We may use analytics, pixels, advertising networks, social-media integrations, or similar services that receive identifiers, device data, internet activity, and approximate location. Depending on the jurisdiction and arrangement, those disclosures may be legally defined as a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for targeted advertising even when no money changes hands.
You may opt out through Your Privacy Choices. Where legally required and technically detectable, we also treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out for the browser or device sending the signal. A browser-level signal normally applies only to that browser or device unless we can associate it with your authenticated account. We do not knowingly sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising the personal information of people under 16.
Disclosing a project request to professionals you ask us to contact, using a payment processor, or displaying content you intentionally publish is not treated by us as a sale for money.
11. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including providing the Services, maintaining security and business records, honoring opt-outs, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and satisfying legal, tax, accounting, and reporting duties. Retention depends on the record and relationship. Typical targets include:
| Record type | Typical retention target |
|---|---|
| Account and business profile | While active, then generally up to 24 months, unless deletion is requested or a longer period is justified |
| Quote, estimate, booking, support, and lead records | Generally up to 24 months after the last activity |
| Payment, tax, and accounting records | Generally up to 7 years or the period required by law |
| Security and technical logs | Usually 30 days to 12 months, longer when investigating an incident |
| Consent and privacy-request records | Generally up to 5 years to demonstrate and honor choices |
| Marketing suppression record | As long as reasonably necessary to honor the opt-out |
Backups, fraud records, legal holds, unresolved disputes, and records held by independent members or third-party providers may follow different periods. When deletion is appropriate, information may be deleted, deidentified, or aggregated.
12. Security and incident response
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to reduce risks of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. Safeguards may include access restrictions, authentication controls, software updates, encryption in transit where supported, logging, backups, and vendor review. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password, protect account recovery methods, restrict administrator access, and notify us promptly of suspected misuse. We will investigate suspected incidents and provide notices when required by applicable law.
13. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on your location and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to:
- know or confirm whether we process your personal information;
- access or obtain a portable copy;
- correct inaccuracies;
- delete information;
- opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
- limit certain uses of sensitive personal information;
- withdraw consent or object to or restrict processing;
- appeal a denied request;
- receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
Submit a request through the Privacy Request Center or email privacy@easyaccurate.com. We verify requests before acting and may ask for information reasonably necessary to match records and prevent fraud. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted, but we may require proof of authority and identity verification. We respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any permitted denial and appeal process.
Some information cannot be deleted when needed to complete a transaction, maintain security, honor an opt-out, exercise legal rights, comply with law, or meet another legal exception. Deletion of platform data does not automatically delete copies independently held by professionals you contacted.
14. U.S. state privacy notices
This section supplements the Policy for residents covered by comprehensive U.S. state privacy laws. In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories listed below for the business purposes described in this Policy.
| Category | Examples | Disclosed to |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers and customer records | Name, email, phone, address, account, IP address | Infrastructure, security, communications, payments, and requested professionals |
| Commercial information | Subscriptions, orders, estimates, quotes, bookings, transaction history | Payment, accounting, support, analytics, and requested professionals |
| Internet or electronic activity | Device, browser, use, clicks, referral, cookies, logs | Hosting, security, analytics, and advertising providers |
| Approximate geolocation | Location inferred from IP, ZIP, service area | Security, analytics, maps, and requested professionals |
| Professional information | Business, trade, license, services, experience | Directory visitors, customers, verification and platform providers |
| Audio, visual, and user content | Photos, videos, recordings, documents, messages | Intended audiences, storage, AI, support, and requested professionals |
| Inferences | Likely interests, service matches, recommendations | Platform, analytics, AI, and advertising providers |
| Sensitive information | Account credentials; precise location only with permission; payment authentication handled by processors | Authentication, security, payment, and feature providers as necessary |
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics beyond purposes permitted by applicable law without providing required choices. We do not offer financial incentives for personal information unless separate terms describe the material terms and obtain any required opt-in. California residents may also request information about categories of collection, sources, purposes, and recipients and may use a recognized opt-out preference signal as described above.
15. International users and transfers
The Services are operated from the United States and are primarily directed to U.S. businesses and customers. If information is transferred from another country, we use a lawful transfer mechanism when required, which may include contractual protections or another recognized basis. Merely visiting the Services is not treated as blanket consent to every international transfer. Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions may have rights described above and may complain to their local data-protection authority.
16. Email, text messages, calls, and push notifications
We send service communications needed for accounts, security, transactions, bookings, quotes, and support. Marketing email should identify the sender and provide a working unsubscribe method. You may unsubscribe from marketing email without stopping essential transactional messages. Marketing opt-outs may take time to apply across connected systems but will be handled within legally required periods.
Where required, marketing texts, automated calls, or prerecorded messages are sent only with the necessary consent. Consent to marketing is not a condition of buying a product or service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to supported marketing texts or use the method stated in the message. You can disable push notifications in your device settings. A quote or booking request permits professionals to respond about that request through the contact method you selected; it does not automatically authorize unrelated recurring marketing.
17. Children’s privacy
The Services are intended for adults and business users and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly create platform accounts for children or knowingly sell or share personal information of people under 16 for targeted advertising. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
18. Changes to this Policy
We may revise this Policy to reflect changes in services, practices, or law. We will update the effective date and, when required, provide additional notice or obtain consent. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise. Continued use alone is not treated as consent where affirmative consent is legally required.
